Kickstart your new year learning a bunch of new skills, meeting amazing new people and have so much fun diving into improv. Yes, and/or you can gift this class to someone special!
This is our entry level class and is for people who have little to no improv experience but also for those who do have experience and may even feel they have a good grasp on improv. We will be start with the essential elements of what makes a good improv scene and expand from there into an introduction of Long-Form and higher concepts. We build the foundation for our entire curriculum as we introduce what makes our improv education so special with active listening, commitment, and finding the main source of comedy that you and your partner agree is driving the scene. We will start you on the path to performing at your highest level!

The only show where you can throw your name in the hat for a chance to hop on stage yourself. Or just watch the chaos unfold as both experienced and brand new performers will be thrown together and do an improvised comedy set right on the spot!

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
Come strengthen your comedic voice by having a lot of fun on stage while you learn a variety of short form games, how to approach this style of improv and leave with a sharpened set of tools for characters, scene work, and tips and tricks you can apply to all of your performances like playing with the mindset of "today's the day". This workshop will be a lof of laughs and a lot of silliness!
*Though no experience is required, this is not a introduction to improv, we recommend this workshop to those who have completed a level 1 improv class.

Everything starts at the beginning, and improv scenes are no exception. But you don't need to start at the beginning for a good start to an improv scene. This workshop will breakdown of goals to accomplish right away that will lead to more successful comedy for you and your scene partner to generate. Plus tips and tricks to help you enter into any scene, knowing how to approach it with confidence. Let's start at the top.

This is our staple show and the best weekly comedy show in San Antonio. Every Friday evening, a brand new comedy show is made up on the spot by the cast of our house troupe House Party. The show is a variety of acts including short form games like you would see on Wild N’ Out or Whose Line Is It Anyway followed by Long-form sets that can be described as a collection of connected skits or a hilarious improvised narrative play. Guest performances from other improv teams to stand up comics grace our stage often from all over San Antonio, Austin, and all across the country.
